Oktoberfest Jacksonville at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery
Oktoberfest Jacksonville will take place on Friday, September 30, and Saturday October 1, at the Budweiser Brewery in Jacksonville. Anheuser-Busch hosts Oktoberfest, a two-day event at the Anheuser-Busch Jacksonville Brewery. The festival begins on Friday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and continues on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. There will be genuine German cuisine, brewery tours, beer sampling and more.
"Anheuser-Busch has been a proud part of Jacksonville for nearly fifty years, and the only thing we enjoy more than making great beers is opening our doors to the local community," said Craig Tomeo, general manager at Anheuser-Busch Jacksonville Brewery and Tour Center. "We're thrilled to put on another Oktoberfest celebration to share our German heritage and love of beer with our neighbors."
Friday night will feature live music from the TJ Ward Band, Dirty Pete Band, DJ EL and Austin Park. General admission tickets for Friday's festivities are available for $10, VIP tickets are $30 in advance, and Ultra VIP tickets are $80 each. The Ultra VIP event is a Friday only event. VIP tickets include a sampling glass, access to VIP tents and a gift card to the Anheuser-Busch Oktoberfest gift shop. The Ultra VIP ticket is $80 and includes everything in the VIP package, plus access to the Stein Party where you will get to choose a unique and collectable beer stein. There are limited Ultra VIP tickets available.
"We have packed this festival with fun both inside and outside the brewery," said Mike White, event organizer and CEO of Client Focused Media. "We will kick-off Oktoberfest on Friday night with the official tapping of the keg. There will also be beer school for our VIPs and the Ultra VIP Stein Party."
The festival continues on Saturday, Oct. 1 with plenty of fun for the whole family. It starts off early with the HandsOn Jacksonville Human Race Oktoberfest 5K run and 1K fun walk. Festival gates open at 11 a.m. Enjoy time in the family fun zone, which will include carnival games, pumpkin bowling, face painting and more. Wiener Dog Races sponsored by The Quick Law Group take place Saturday morning. Registration costs $10 with free admission for the owner. Oktoberfest games will also be offered throughout the day including stein-hoisting, barrel rolling, tug-of-war and brat eating contests. You can also participate in the live auction with Senator Aaron Bean.
The Swinging Barvarians, One Step Ahead of the Law, and DJ EL will be performing throughout the day. ASAP Towing & Storage, an event sponsor, is providing one of their flatbed towing trucks to double as a stage for the event.

General admission tickets for Saturday's event are $20 each. VIP tickets are $50 each and include access to the VIP tents, VIP meal vouchers for a brat, German potato salad and pretzels, a collectable Anheuser-Busch beer stein with discounted beer and food throughout the day, plus a VIP gift bag.
