- Oklahoma City, OK (1888PressRelease) August 01, 2023 - The Oklahoma Grape Industry Council (OGIC) works to support those in the grape and wine industries. We also help people discover Oklahoma wines and discover Oklahoma vineyards. One way we accomplish this is by keeping members informed about events, such as the contest for the Oklahoma State Fair in 2022.
Many Oklahoma Grape Industry Council members participated in the 2022 Amateur and Professional Wine Contest for the Oklahoma State Fair. Oklahoma wines from Oklahoma vineyards and local wineries were judged based on various categories. We are happy to announce that Cotton Blossom Winery was awarded Grand Champion Oklahoma for their Chardonnay.
About OGIC: The Oklahoma Grape Industry Council began with a group of winemakers in 2011. By implementing education and improving government relationships, they worked to support the industry. Over the years, they have advocated for hobbyists, viticulturists, and vintners.
