Oddball Film+Video Acquires San Francisco HD Clips, Licenses Footage For Sundance Ken Kesey Documentary, Screens Unique Film At The Exploratorium.

Oddball's recent projects include footage for Carrie Fisher's HBO show "Wishful Drinking," clips for Sundance Ken Kesey documentary "Magic Trip: Ken Kesey's Search for a Kool Place," and footage for the American Forces & Television Service PSA "Rules of The Road." We also screened the uniquely colorful film "Artistry in Sugar" at the San Francisco Exploratorium.
Recent Acquisitions
Oddball Film+Video has added to its collection over 1000 clips of contemporary San Francisco in HD. Footage features iconographic clips of San Francisco sights and diverse neighborhoods. Oddball has also acquired a distinctive collection of rare Kodachrome home movies shot across the United States including footage of the Miss California 1957 Beauty Pageant!
Recent Projects
Oddball Film+Video supplied disturbing footage of electroshock sessions for Carrie Fisher's show "Wishful Drinking" which aired on HBO. The actress recounts her dramatic life stories through witty and humorous episodes.
Oddball licensed a selection of wild clips for "Magic Trip: Ken Kesey's Search for a Kool Place," the Sundance documentary by award-winning director Alex Gibney. Clips supplied included Ken Kesey in all his glory, "acid tests" and hippie shenanigans!
Oddball Film+Video provided footage of busy crosswalks in Asia for the PSA "Rules of The Road" produced for the American Forces & Radio Television Service.
Oddball was also excited to screen its digital print of "The Artistry in Sugar" for the San Francisco Exploratorium's evening series "After Dark". This particular night celebrated sugar in all its forms.
Oddball's Eclectic Film Screenings
Oddball Films, the film component of Oddball Film+Video, presents an offbeat and enticing weekly cinema series featuring eclectic film programs such as their monthly "Strange Sinema," an evening of newly discovered rarities and oddities seldom seen anywhere, "Asian Trance Cinema" featuring award-winning films and shorts exploring the unique cultural rituals of Bali and Indonesia, and "B-Movie Bonanza" a program of entertaining blasts from the past of B-Movie films highlighting vintage sci-fi, monster movies and silent cinema rarities.
Oddball Films also hosted a series of free workshops and panels as part of the annual Disposable Film Festival. Attendees were able to hear about how mobile media capture devices ("disposable film") is spurring social change. Additionally they learned the tips and tricks behind storytelling, shooting, editing and distribution.
