Danny Schechter, aka the News Dissector, continues his reporting on the crisis of capitalism with his new book Occupy, Dissecting Occupy Wall Street. In 2005, he started with his visionary documentary In Debt We Trust, warning of a financial meltdown. Now in Occupy he describes the next chapter in this meltdown with the founding of the Occupy movement, first in Tahrir Square in Cairo and Plaza Del Sol in Madrid, then followed by Occupy Wall Street in Zuccotti Park.

DANNY SCHECHTER is a writer, television producer, and independent filmmaker who also speaks about media and financial issues. He is the editor of Mediachannell1.org and blogs daily as the News Dissector at NewsDissector.net. Schechter is the author of fourteen books, including Squeezed (2007), Plunder (2008) , The Crime of our Time (2010) and Blogothon (2012) and has produced and directed more than thirty documentaries and television specials.
