GodChicks 2011 Is A 2-Day Conference For Women Of All Ages Offering Inspiring Teaching, Worship and Live Music. This Year's Conference Features Oasis Church Pastors Philip & Holly Wagner, Sherri Shepherd, Sheila Walsh and Christine Caine.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) June 25, 2011 - GodChicks 2011, a fun and inspirational two-day conference for women only, is this Friday and Saturday, June 24-25 at the Angeles Temple. GodChicks is the Women's Ministry at Oasis Church, a Non-Denominational Christian Church founded by Pastors Philip and Holly Wagner. The GodChicks Conference is designed to encourage and help women from all ages, all races, and all walks of life to realize their value and further their relationship with God through uplifting teaching, worship, live music, and opportunities to connect with other "God Chicks" from all over the world.
In addition to helping to encourage women through teachings and worship, the GC conference will also inspire women to make a difference in their communities and abroad- This year's GC Conference will be helping the local Los Angeles community by featuring the "Help A Student" School Supply Drive, collecting notebooks, pens and paper for local LAUSD schools and their students. In addition, the conference will help raise awareness for Treasures, a unique, faith-based outreach and support group for women in the sex industry. Their mission is to empower women in the discovery of their value and purpose by providing mentorship, spiritual encouragement and resources, and Generosity Water, which is dedicated to ending the clean water crisis in developing countries.
Christine Caine, founder of The A21 Campaign, will discuss how "God Chicks" can help end human trafficking- The A21 Campaign is comprised of individuals, organizations, government officials, and people who are committed to abolishing injustice in the 21st century. Their goal is to prevent people from being trafficked, and to protect and support those who have been trafficked, prosecute traffickers, and strengthen legal responses to trafficking, as well as partner with law enforcement, service providers and community members to provide a comprehensive front against trafficking.
Speakers at this year's GodChicks Conference include Pastors Philip and Holly Wagner of Oasis Church, Emmy award-winning talk show host and actress Sherri Shepherd, bestselling author Sheila Walsh and Christine Caine, founder of The A21 Campaign, which seeks to abolish human trafficking. In addition to inspiring teachings and uplifting music and worship, there will be a special surprise in store for the GodChicks- previous year's surprises included fireworks, hot air balloon rides, even snow! What will be this year's surprise? Attendees at this year's GC Conference will soon find out.. The Conference is Friday, June 24th from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. (with an afternoon break) and Saturday, June 25th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Angeles Temple located at 1100 Glendale Blvd. in Los Angeles.
