Nutty Steph's Announces Delicious New Handmade Chocolate Truffles
Nutty Steph's is known for high quality chocolates and granolas made from natural, locally sourced, top of the line ingredients. The company's new truffle flavors--Marzipan Cherry, Coconut Cluster, and Strawberry & Cream-- as always, are made from scratch with kitchen fresh ingredients.
- Burlington-South Burlington, VT (1888PressRelease) August 27, 2012 - Since their recent addition to Nutty Steph's chocolate shop, three new truffle flavors: Marzipan Cherry, Coconut Cluster, and Strawberry & Cream grace the antique glass candy case there. The aesthetically pleasing look of the truffles appeals to customers, who recognize at first bite that these handcrafted truffles made with kitchen fresh, top quality ingredients, are no ordinary chocolates.
Like all Nutty Steph products, the truffles are handmade and contain top of the line ingredients such as Ecuadorian chocolate with a high cacao content. They are crafted old world style with the utmost of care. Said Josie Green, creator of the Marzipan Cherry Truffle: "...I soak dried cherries in dark rum for a day. Then I wrap a thin layer of marzipan around each individual cherry. This is surrounded by dark chocolate ganache with cherry and marzipan mixed in. This is dipped in dark Ecuadorian chocolate and topped with toasted almonds."
Coconut Caramel Clusters have a just right, not too chewy texture. Shredded, toasted coconut is folded into 'made from scratch' vanilla caramel. The coconut caramel mounds are dipped into either milk or dark Ecuadorian chocolate. They are then topped with toasted coconut shreds.
Amela Hall, one of two talented Nutty Steph's in house chocolatiers, is responsible for the creation of decadent new 'Strawberry & Cream.' The Strawberry & Cream truffle celebrates a luscious contrast between white and dark chocolates. Said Hall: "I make a white chocolate ganache to which I add freeze dried strawberries. This is dipped into dark Ecuadorian chocolate and topped with powdered freeze dried strawberries." The filling is light and creamy, and the dark chocolate coating, seriously rich and robust.
All of the new truffles mentioned above are available for sale at Nutty Steph's Chocolate Shop in Middlesex, Vermont.
