Nutricap Labs' Wraps Up Successful Holiday Food Drive, Collects and Donates 625 Pounds of Canned and Packaged Goods to Island Harvest
Award-winning provider of one-stop nutritional supplement manufacturing services smashes its company goal on its way to helping families in need this holiday season.
- (1888PressRelease) December 02, 2014 - FARMINGDALE, NY - Nutricap Labs wrapped up its month-long holiday season food drive benefiting Island Harvest on Monday, November 24th.
Employees from the award-winning firm smashed its company-wide goal of 350 pounds when it collected and donated an outstanding 625 pounds of canned and packaged goods. These items have since been picked up by Island Harvest and will be distributed to one or several local food pantries, soup kitchens, or other non-profit organizations that offer feeding services to Long Island families in need throughout the holiday season.
"We were proud to continue our long-standing relationship with Island Harvest this year," said Vincent Tricarico, Chief Operations Officer of Nutricap Labs. Mr. Tricarico added, "Collecting over 600 pounds of food, water, and other supplies in only four weeks is an impressive feat. According to its website, Island Harvest is Long Island's largest hunger relief organization. Established in 1992 by Linda Breitstone, Island Harvest's mission has been to end hunger and food waste on Long Island. Since that time, it has delivered 71 million pounds of food, supplementing close to 66 million meals.
