NPSA Launches 2010 Portable Storage Industry Survey
Industry-wide survey seeks to determine size and strength of portable storage industry.
- (1888PressRelease) September 23, 2010 - KANSAS CITY, MO - The National Portable Storage Association has launched an industry-wide survey to identify the size and strength of portable storage industry.
The survey will determine the number and types of vendors, equipment and jobs in the portable storage industry, as well as estimate the total revenue generated by portable storage and ancillary product and service companies.
"In a continuation of our series of industry surveys, the NPSA is conducting the 2010 Industry Operations Survey," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director of the NPSA. "There are continual questions we receive as to the size of the industry, sales volume, and staffing. These are all valid questions and demonstrate the importance of being an informed member who knows the market and the industry."
This is the fourth time the NPSA has sought to assess and measure the industry. The NPSA conducted surveys in 2008, 2006 and in 2004. However, the 2010 survey marks the largest scale appraisal in the industry's history. The survey's aim is to build on data from past surveys to identify industry trends. The NPSA can use this data as a benchmark to measure the growth of the industry since the last surveys, as well as project future growth.
"This survey is being sent to all NPSA members and nonmembers that are in our database," said Joel Rathbone, Operations Manager at the NPSA. "All member participants will receive a $100 discount off their 2011 dues renewal. In addition, all participants will receive a complimentary copy of the Executive Summary.
