Safe, affordable housing for people with disabilities who prefer to live on their own is a challenging find nowadays. NorthStar Apartments Foundation has been legally established as a nonprofit to address this need.
- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) April 22, 2011 - NorthStar Apartments Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that will moderate the negative impacts of the shortage of safe, affordable housing for the population of Illinois, with a special emphasis on people with disabilities who prefer the option of living on their own instead of in special institutions.
Since its inception in 2008, NorthStar Apartments Foundation has been primarily funded by personal contributions from Nathaniel Satterfield (President), who is disabled himself. To keep interest in NorthStar Apartments Foundation alive, a company website has been launched to increase the organization's brand awareness; and very importantly attract donors and skilled volunteers to help invest in NorthStar Apartments Foundation's ability to do business.
Providing safe, affordable housing for those in need and who desire to live independently will make such persons feel good about themselves! Self-sufficiency without dependency on special institutions will better the person's mindframe. This in turn will help him (or her) contribute more to society.
