The seminar, which will be held from 7 to 9 pm in the Wilmette Public Library auditorium, will cover the following topics:

• The importance of pricing properly from the start
• How home staging can provide a competitive edge
• Creating curb appeal that draws buyers like a magnet
• Mortgage programs now available to home buyers
• What it takes for buyers to qualify for a mortgage today
• Costly mistakes to avoid.

Selling in today’s market can be daunting. Bombarded for months by news about declining home sales, rising foreclosure rates and tightened credit availability, potential sellers are asking themselves if it’s even possible to sell in this environment. On the flip side they wonder how they can take advantage of some of the positive aspects of today’s market, like continued low mortgage rates and the new $8000 tax credit for first time home buyers. All of these developments have created confusion and anxiety among would-be home sellers, and they are looking for guidance on how to proceed and what to expect.
