Adam D'arcy, founder of the Web design Company based in West Hampstead, North London had this to say, "While working in China I came across an American traveller with an original website idea. The outcome? Xtreme Travel Stories... and that's actually how Darcy Developments was born."
As this site is a pet project and there is no 'client', they use it to test out the latest innovations. That way, the website can be used as a proof of concept to new clients who want to see that they have the relevant knowledge and experience and that it has indeed worked in the past.
This is great as we have a working model for our fresh ideas. It means we don't have to take risks with the clients project. For instance, we used a social media component that we'd never used before to gain over 6,000 members. We are now fluent in that area and have implemented it on other client sites since."
