North African Gas Investment Opportunities to be Discussed by Industry Leaders from Sonatrach, ETAP & Senior Representatives from NOC Libya
Industry Leaders from the North African gas industry are confirmed to speak at the North Africa Gas Summit, taking place 25-26 June 2013 at the Grand Plaza Hotel, Rome, Italy.
- (1888PressRelease) June 14, 2013 - Industry experts including Abdelhamid Zerguine, President, Sonatrach; Khaled Bettine, Head of Department, ETAP; Mustafa Sanala, Board Member for Planning & Production, NOC Libya; Ferdinando Rigardo, Regional Executive Director -Europe, Asia & Africa, Repsol and Marco Arcelli, EVP Upstream, Enel, will provide key insights on recent developments in the region and highlight the investment opportunities in the industry.
Senior representatives from governments, NOCs and across the international oil and gas industry will discuss the new generation of gas development investments - including unconventionals - across the wider North Africa region and the drivers that are changing the face of the market in Europe and beyond.
The expert speaker panel will cover the immediate and longer potential of North African and Mediterranean suppliers within a context that embraces the global energy scene without minimising the effect these rapidly growing domestic markets across the region may have on the total export potential.

The North Africa Gas Summit will be co-located with Lebanon Gas, a one-day event held under the patronage of His Excellency Eng Gebran Bassil, Minister of Energy & Water and the Petroleum Administration, on 24 June 2013 at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Rome, Italy. The Lebanon Gas Summit will provide the latest updates on the First Offshore Licensing Round as well as insights into Lebanon's hydrocarbon sector and its legal and regulatory frameworks. The Summit will see participation from senior government representatives and potential international investors.
The North Africa Gas Summit provides a platform for governments, national oil company representatives and international investors to gather for discussions on the investment opportunities in both the conventional and unconventional sectors; how the region's major suppliers can meet demand on a domestic as well as international level; North Africa's position within the global energy context and strategies for diversifying the energy mix; and ensuring a balance between gas and renewables.
