Norris was the owner and founder of Norris of Houston and was a pillar in the community for years. Norris is best known and remembered for his keen business mind in expanding his barber industry aggressively during the late 60s and 70s, his innovation in providing greater services to men encouraging them to treat their hair with greater respect, and the long list of famous patrons served through his long and amazing career.
Norris of Houston is a very famous and well-known salon in the Houston area. In 1968 Norris opened Norris of Houston, which was the third location he had owned or operated out of since starting to barber at the age of 16. He was fortunate to have helped many famous people as well as celebrated Houstonians, including John Wayne, Evil Knievel, Milton Berle, Tony Martin and Liberace. Nearly everyone that received a haircut from Norris became a lifelong customer. Many of Norris of Houston clients are three generations of family.
Norris's acute business mind helped him to develop a simple business to the most profitable barbershop and hair salon in the world, and the first person in his industry to gross over $1,000,000 a year.
