Norprint Logistics Labelling Solution is first to be Certified by GS1 UK
One of Europe's largest labelling solutions companies announces GS1 UK certification for their logistics labelling solution.
- (1888PressRelease) August 10, 2011 - Norprint today announced they are the first company to achieve GS1 UK certification, in the Logistics Labels category, for their WLP2 labelling software solution.
Additionally the company is now a fully GS1 UK accredited Solution Partner, which validates their knowledge of GS1 standards and their ability to provide bar code solutions based on them.
Norprint's certified logistics labelling solution is comprised of a print, ship and validate solution for hardware such as label printers and barcode scanners, software such as label design and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). It is also scalable with the ability to be integrated into a host of third party systems.
It is designed for industries such as food and beverage, manufacturing, warehousing, freight & transport and any company involved in the shipping of products. It also incorporates ASN/SSCC (Advanced Shipping Notification) guidelines which are specified by large retailers in particular to ensure products arrive in the correct quantities at the correct destination.
The GS1 logistics labelling standards framework enables faster goods delivery, improved inventory management and fewer errors, leading to reduced costs and increased productivity.

The WLP2 solution was developed in-house by Norprint and is a dynamic product which has continuous investment from the company. The software in particular is upgraded regularly, which ensures customers are kept up to date with the latest labelling formats and symbologies. Norprint are a well known leading player in this field, valued for their in-house barcode expertise which began when barcodes were first introduced in the UK in the 1970's.
