Novi steakhouse grand opening to feature discounts, food sampling.
Warren-Farmington Hills-Troy, MI (1888PressRelease) November 20, 2019 - After leading award-winning restaurants for years, Tony Amann is thrilled to begin his newest venture with the opening of the hottest and most highly anticipated steakhouse in metro Detroit: No. Six Prime.
Amann had managed the No.VI Chophouse for 10 years but has now taken the reins of No. Six Prime in the same building, which has been completely renovated to provide an exciting new vibe. Conveniently situated in Novi’s popular shopping area featuring Twelve Oaks Mall and the West Oaks Shopping Centers, the steakhouse provides an upscale dining experience in a casual, warm, and friendly atmosphere.
“I am ecstatic to lead the team at No. Six Prime, and I am looking forward to providing the community with an exceptional dining experience complete with our warm hospitality and friendly service,” Amann said.
Amann has been a leader in the local hospitality industry since joining Chuck Muer Restaurant Group in 1985. Having spent his early management years with independent restaurant Key Largo and then Alcatraz Brewing Company, Amann found his home in 2005 at the award-winning No.VI Chophouse, which he managed until 2015. With Amann at the helm, the No.VI Chophouse was awarded the highest marks by Zagat for guest service, cuisine, atmosphere, and wine list.
Further enhancing the excitement surrounding the opening of No. Six Prime, Amann will be joined by Executive Chef Bryan Pencola in the new business. Pencola’s culinary creations are inspired by his professional experiences as well as his travels around the world. He has visited 15 countries around the globe, gaining additional insights in the culinary field along the way. All these experiences and more are gracefully reflected in the flavor and presentation of the meals he serves.
Pencola worked at No.VI chophouse, as well, for four years, where he first refined his skills and learned the intricacies of attentive upscale dining. He later worked at Breckenridge Ski Resort and then sister restaurant Sevens, located inside Breckenridge Resorts. Eventually, he moved back to the Detroit area to be a part of the booming food scene, soon accepting the role with No. Six Prime.
No. Six Prime strives to provide the highest quality food with the attention to detail of fine dining, but with a casual, welcoming flair. The concept of “Comfortable Fine Dining” is the driving philosophy behind the food and service.
The community is invited to help celebrate the grand opening of the steakhouse from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 22, with a ribbon cutting ceremony set to take place at 4:30 p.m. No. Six Prime is hailing this event as “Grand Opening Week,” with the restaurant offering a different feature each day from Monday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 24. Special offers will include $25 off a $100 purchase with an online coupon available through the No. Six Prime website, www.nosixprime.com.
The name of the business represents the six USDA-prime cuts on the menu: Cowboy, Motor City Strip, Porterhouse, Filet Mignon, Ribeye, and the 32-ounce Prime Tomahawk, one of the establishment’s signature items. Although the phrase “No. Six” technically applies to the aforementioned cuts of beef, the name also carries an endearing play on the name of the city in which the restaurant is located – Novi. No. Six Prime has much more to offer than just steaks, though. Other entrees include Frenched Colorado Lamb Chops with a mango demi-glace, Shoyu Marinated Salmon with sweet potato hash and apricot jus, Chicken Saltimbocca with prosciutto and a Marsala cream sauce, Braised Short Ribs, and Miso Halibut with a teriyaki glaze.
The menu also features unique twists on appetizers and side dishes. The housemade Crab Cakes with Citrus Chipotle Aioli offer a beautiful presentation and delectable flavor, for example, while the Gruyere Au Gratin potatoes are the perfect complement to the tender, mouth-watering steak.
The restaurant also boasts an extensive wine menu and signature cocktails, as well as several savory soups and refreshing salads.
The steakhouse is located at 27000 S. Karevich Drive at the perimeter of the West Oaks shopping area in the space inside the Four Points by Sheraton Detroit Novi. Diners will see several familiar faces, as many team members who were with the former restaurant were invited to continue to work with No. Six Prime. Changes in the building include a new glass entry door, fresh decor, and a slightly brighter color scheme. Guests will also see a custom mural along the main wall inside the restaurant.
The restaurant has been welcomed with rave reviews since its opening on Oct. 1.
One online reviewer said his experience at No. Six Prime was fantastic. “Absolutely incredible cuts of meat (porterhouse and lamb chops were incredible), attentive staff, portions were massive, and the sides were delicious!”
The steakhouse, which also offers two private dining rooms and over 10,000 square feet of banquet space for larger gatherings, is open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
