  • (1888PressRelease) July 12, 2016 - NiQuan Energy has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement for the purchase of World GTL assets. The agreement is valued at TT $220 million and clears the way for the establishment of the Caribbean's first Gas to Liquids (GTL) production facility. The facility will be the first commercial plant of its kind in the Western Hemisphere and will manufacture high value, ultra-clean, low emissions transport fuel as well as high quality chemical feedstock. Given the huge capital investment required for such plants, the industry is beginning to realise the benefits of smaller and medium scale production. Falling within the range of small-scale, NiQuan Energy's facility will be the first of its size in the world making them the first to the market to tangibly demonstrate the economic viability of GTL at such an output volume. Furthermore, NiQuan Energy has also executed a professional and consulting services agreement with CH2M Hill, an award winning Colorado based engineering company, which will provide project management and owner's engineering services.
