Nexgrid Integrating with Fujitsu "WisReed" Communication Technology
Nexgrid, a leading provider of advanced metering and smart grid infrastructure based on open standards, today introduced the industry's most advanced smart grid infrastructure with the integration of WisReed, Fujitsu's future-proof communications technology, and Nexgrid's ecoNet™ smart grid gateway products.

Fujitsu WisReed, is used by utility providers worldwide and provides a scalable platform without any compromise on communication performance and system reliability. WisReed is ad hoc communication technology that enables the automatic construction of a network without any settings. It is capable of auto restoration in the event of a failure and adapts to changes in the surrounding network environment.
The ecoNet WisReed gateways will be commercially available in the latter half of 2013.
