SATCOM Africa will gather top SATCOM players that develop, operate and invest in the regional communications industry. The event offers technology providers and end-users opportunities to grow their business contacts and enhance technological assets. NewSat's African capability is poised to provide improved coverage and more flexible enterprise-grade solutions for backhaul providers. Its first Ka-band satellite, Jaburi 1 , is currently being made by Lockheed Martin.

Diarmid Massey, Cable & Wireless VP for Carrier Sales will show how fibre technology can benefit the African satellite sector. Radio Communications Bureau ITU Director Yvon Henri will discuss the demand for high-bandwidth but fast satellite communications.
