Newport Dunes Reteams with City of Newport Beach for 4th of July "Star-Spangled Groovy Fest"

Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) June 10, 2015 - Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina will reteam with the City of Newport Beach to hold Southern California's most spectacular 4th of July celebration called "Star-Spangled Groovy Fest." This 57th annual all-day event is geared towards families and will include live music performances, dynamic food presentations, countless activities in and around the water and a spectacular pyrotechnic display.

Two stages will be set for 5 different bands who will play from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. The "throwback" live music fest will feature tribute bands celebrating popular music from the 60s & 70s.

Among the other festivities:
· Back Bay Bistro Buffet - The critically acclaimed onsite restaurant will offer 2 seatings from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Guests will enjoy salmon, swordfish, chicken, steak and pork right from the grill as well as a seafood station with oysters, shrimp, ceviche and California rolls; a number of selections from the salad bar; turkey breast and New York steak at the carving station; and dessert display featuring apple pie, assorted bunt cakes and frozen delights. ($45 for adults; $22.50 for kids 10 and under).
· Moe B's Aquatic Park -- offers a wide range of massive, colorful inflatable amenities from giant icebergs and water trampolines to rock climbing walls and massive teeter-totters. Passes are available -- $25 for 2 hours.
· Watersport rentals -- paddleboats, kayaks, electric boats, hydrobikes, catamarans and stand-up paddleboards are available.
· Marketplace rentals -- private beachside cabanas, beach umbrellas, fire pits, golf carts, surrey bikes and beach cruisers are available for rent but in limited supply.
