A Newport Beach resident and businessman born and raised in Southern California, Ken Ketner has been involved in both the "Let's be Frank about Cancer" fundraiser and the 3rd Annual Orange County City of Hope Fly Me To A Cure Gala.
Inspired by Sinatra's famous song "Fly Me To The Moon" this year's Orange County City of Hope gala was titled "Fly Me To A Cure". Over 400 guests attended. Former Prime Minister of Yugoslavia, Milan Panic, was honored for his $1 Million gift to the City of Hope.
Fund raising committee members presented a check for $691,931 to be used for cancer research at the City of Hope.
Regarding the event Ken Ketner stated, "Our community is very committed and generous to nonprofits, and we know all of these organizations could use more help."
He added, "I wish the entire community had been present to witness the success and passion that this year's event created. I believe that if people in our community witnessed the energy in that room, next year's event would be overwhelming."
