New Yorkers Compete to Raise Money for Cancer Research and for Title of 2012 Man & Woman of the Year
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's New York City Chapter announces candidates for the Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) March 09, 2012 - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) New York City Chapter today announced 12 candidates who will compete in the annual Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) campaign. The candidates have 10 weeks from March 8 to May 17 to raise a minimum of $20,000 for LLS through individual fundraising campaigns. The male and female candidate who raises the most funds will be awarded the title of New York City's 2012 Man & Woman of the Year. Their totals are then considered for the national title.
"We are truly excited to launch this year's Man & Woman of the Year Campaign in New York," says Michele Przypyszny, Executive Director of LLS NYC Chapter. "Each candidate is passionately committed in conducting a successful campaign, and are all unified in the singular goal of raising funds to help blood cancer patients live long, better lives."
LLS's MWOY candidates are nominated by their social and professional peers and compete in honor of local pediatric cancer patients, the Boys & Girls of the Year. Candidates for the 2012 Man & Woman of the Year campaign include:
