New York Giants Collector's Museum Website to Launch on SuperBowl Sunday
My late brother was known throughout the NFL as the World's Greatest NY Giants Fan and Collector and he was going to make his collection public the next time the Giants were in the Super Bowl. This press release is my attempt to honor his wishes.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) January 25, 2012 - Prior to game time this SuperBowl Sunday, the NY Giants Collector's Museum will launch its online site and permanently honor quite possibly the World's Greatest NY Giants Fan and Collector the late, great, "Giant Jeff" (Jeffrey Scott Prager) and display his world's largest collection of NY Giants Sports Memorabilia. A collector's dream, the site www.NYGiantsMuseum.com will feature everything from game-worn cleats and helmets to pennants and trash cans.
Born June 13, 1961, Jeff Prager "Giant Jeff" was known by many players and others in the industry as the world's greatest New York Giants Fan (Fanatic) and Collector of New York Giants Sports Memorabilia. Jeff's dream since a child growing up in New Jersey was to open and host a New York Giants Museum. Jeff never married and never had children, and besides work, he invested his life's time, energy, and attention in an effort to experience as many NY Giants Football Games and events as possible and to acquire any and all suitable NY Giants Memorabilia to display in his Museum. Jeff collected NY Giants memorabilia from the time he was a child in early 1960's until the time he passed at age 49 in 2010.
During Jeff's 40 plus years of collecting he acquired and preserved more than seven thousand items (not including perhaps the world's largest collection of NY Giants Football cards and Pins).
Jeff's early passing left his brother Mitch Prager with the daunting task of sorting through this massive collection and making Jeff's dream a reality. Mitch says "Our goal is to have these 7,000 plus NY Giants treasures available for all fans to see and experience in person at the NY Giants Museum, although until we open a 'brick and mortar' location we are launching this online museum." The virtual museum www.NYGiantsMuseum.com will honor Jeff and provide over 240 complimentary videos where the viewer can take a virtual tour of Jeff Prager's collection. The videos are currently being loaded on a youtube channel NYFGM (short for New York Football Giants Museum). The videos are all being linked to this new website honoring Jeff and his collection. In addition to the videos the website will feature hundreds of photographs of Jeff with the NY Giants Players he befriended including Eli Manning, Wellington Mara, Michael Strahan, Phil Simms, Fran Tarkenton.
