About Dana Roberts Ross:
At the age of 29, Dana's mother, was informed that she had breast cancer and was pregnant on the same day. She had the option of terminating her pregnancy to immediately undergo a double mastectomy, or keep her child and risk further advancement of the cancer. She opted to keep her child. Unfortunately, Dana's mother had four sisters who also were fighting breast cancer. Her mother lost her battle with breast cancer when Dana was ten years old, and her aunts died shortly thereafter.
They all donated their breast tissue to help advance breast cancer research. Over the years, other family members have been battling alopecia and have succumbed to other forms of cancer. 35 years later, Dana had no choice but to tap into their strength and use that as her source of inspiration to help with her own fight with breast cancer, which, with doctors' and her family's help, she beat last year. Dana Roberts Ross says," I truly believe I directly benefited from my mother and aunts participation in cancer research and I, too, want to give back. Hence, the birth of Beauty With Pure Purpose".
