New Validation Of Quark RMR For Indirect Calorimetry Measurements With Canopy Hood
A validation study of Quark RMR by the Centre de Recherche en Nutrition Humaine Rhône-Alpes (CRNHR) was published on the 6th issue of the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism.
- (1888PressRelease) June 11, 2011 - The objectives of the study were to validate accuracy and reliability of COSMED QUARK RMR indirect calorimeter versus the DELTATRAC II™, a well-established reference system, which is no longer available, in resting and post-prandial conditions.
The conclusion of the study shows that Quark RMR is "a valid system to measure energy expenditure in resting and post-prandial conditions in obese and healthy subjects".
