New Survey Reveals Percentage of Men And Women Who Would Cheat If They Knew They'd Never Be Caught

Atlanta Private Investigators Eagle Investigative Services conducted a recent survey which asked whether people would cheat, if they thought they'd never be found out. The results were very surprising. End Quote

(1888PressRelease) April 05, 2009 - A recent study conducted by Eagle Investigative Services, Inc., Atlanta’s leading private investigation agency, ask participants a simple question - would you cheat if you could get away with it.

The survey conducted in March, 2009 was conducted by Atlanta private investigators Eagle Investigative Services and was conducted by gathering participants from Social Networks Twitter, Facebook and Craigslist. The survey was limited to 4,000 participants.

“The results were staggering”, said Niall Cronnolly, President of the Atlanta private detective agency. “We reached the maximum number of respondents in just 3 hours!”

The survey participants were asked two simple questions:

1. Are you male or female?

2. You have the option to cheat on your significant other. Your significant other will never find out about it, and will never know. In fact, nobody would ever find out or know, except you and your new lover. Under these circumstances, KNOWING YOU WOULD NEVER GET CAUGHT, would you consider cheating?

The results are as follows:

Number of participants: 4,000

Breakdown of gender participating:

Male Participants: 57%
Female Participants: 43%

Percentage who said they would cheat if they could get away with it:

Male: 50%
Female: 50%

A study conducted in 2002 by the Journal of Couple & Relationship Therapy, revealed that that 45-55% of married women and 50-60% of married men engage in extramarital sex at some time or another during their relationship. The March 2009 survey conducted by the Atlanta private detective agency shows that the statistics are still similar 7 years later.
