With his wife Anne-Marie as his partner, they have become known as the "number one" instructors of Salsa Rueda or Rueda de Casino style. This version of the Salsa Dance first became popular in the 1950's in Cuba. The word "Rueda" simply means "wheel" and that is what makes Rueda unique: the dancing is done in the form of a "wheel" or as a group with the "members" moving around the wheel, quickly exchanging partners and performing many complicated dance steps.

    Dance Therapy Studios' 2008 fall class season begins Saturday, November 1st.     Over the past 10 years Ashton Feliciano has taught nearly one thousand people in Richmond and Hampton Roads, Virginia to dance, some which have become instructors in their own right. With the launch of the new Salsa Rueda website, Dance Therapy Studios seeks to educate others regarding the health benefits of this form of dancing.     Anne-Marie Valente-Feliciano is a Latin Dance instructor and performer whose enthusiasm has taken her around the world to study with top professional instructors.
