Realizing the challenges and opportunities of the long summer days ahead, teachers embraced the new Right Road Summer Pack of essential and fun self-esteem-building items to keep K-6 students on the Right Road all summer long.
(1888PressRelease) July 08, 2011 - Debbie Sims and Crystal Reagan, two local teachers, were so impressed with the Right Road Kids!(TM) school programs that they pitched in their own money to help buy each of their students the Right Road Summer Pack, a new value-based offering from Right Road Productions (RRP). RRP is partner to the renowned youth self-esteem and character-building nonprofit organization Right Road Kids, founded nineteen years ago by Paula Phillips after her life was threatened by a young teen during the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. With today's education budget cuts and a weak economy that allows fewer parents than ever to pay for summer camp, the Summer Packs provide positive summer enrichment activities for kids and their families. Phillips calls the teachers' actions "beyond special and meaningful."
"For teachers to step forward in this special way - during a time when so many are uncertain if they even have a job next year - truly speaks to how much they care. All of the Right Road materials are created as labors of love for kids, and knowing that this amazing group of Kamala School 6th graders will have these special materials at their fingertips as they head off to face the challenges of middle school simply means more that words can say," Phillips said.
Phillips and Right Road Kids have been providing esteem, character, and enrichment programs to countless schools, including Oxnard's Kamala Elementary, for nearly two decades. At the urging of teachers and parents everywhere, and with the help and support of creative and production professionals from several states, Phillips recently established Right Road Productions and began to offer the new line of positive and inspirational take-home products for kids via a new website, www.RightRoadKids.org.
Realizing the challenges and opportunities of the long summer days ahead, Phillips put together a special value pack of essential, yet fun, items to keep kids on the Right Road all summer long. The Summer Pack offers $40 worth of exceptional items for just $20 (the everyday retail price of the DVD!) for a limited time, available only at www.RightRoadKids.org.
The Right Road Summer Pack includes the new interactive edutainment DVD, Right Road For Kids!(TM) Episode One: You Are Special, which mirrors the organization's award-winning classroom presentations, and features the non-profit's wildly popular founder, Paula Phillips. In addition, Pack recipients also receive a Right Road drawstring sport pack, Paula's "Bellows Bunch" children's chapter book about a child trying to discover his own personal talents, a Right Road Talent Journal, 6 Right Road pencils, a Right Road wrist band, a Right Road bookmark, and a set of Right Road collector stickers. The contents of this Summer Pack guide and encourage children to spend time identifying, exploring, writing about, and expressing their talents, positive traits, and dreams that will keep them on the "Right Road" in life.
Inspired by the Kamala teachers' purchase for their students, Right Road has announced that it is seeking corporate sponsorships and donations for Right Road Pack distribution to youth in less fortunate schools. In addition to providing exceptional in-school and at-home youth esteem and character support, proceeds from the purchase of Right Road materials support both Right Road Kids and Right Road Productions, working in dedicated partnership to uplift the nation's children. The Summer Pack can be purchased at www.RightRoadKids.org, and donations can also be made via the website.
Right Road Kids! be found on Twitter and Facebook, providing access to additional kid-friendly programs, music, activities, announcements and special offers.
