New R& B Artist Kari Taylor Makes Her Acting Debut in Musical-Dramedy Stage Play In Sheep's Clothing
Writer and Director, Robert Kinsey presents the reality stage play In Sheep's Clothing. A musical dramedy filled with laughter, music, fun, and drama starring the very talented, Kari Taylor.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2014 - EARFORCE ONE RECORDS announced today that Kari Taylor will make her acting debut in Robert Kinsey's first, ever reality stage play "In Sheep's Clothing" as Johnnie Mae, a humble, Godly, dedicated woman who although is pained by her husband's repeated acts of infidelity, doesn't have the courage to leave him. "Robert remembered me from the small part I played singing his first play and offered me a principal role in 'In Sheep's Clothing." I am very excited to be in such a wonderful play and to have been given the opportunity to work with him again. Robert challenges his actors to be the "opposite" of who they are, which forces us to dig deep inside of ourselves to realize our potential and be the best that we can be.
By doing so, I have found that even though some of the circumstances are different, Johnnie Mae and I are not that different. In fact, my role is a "woman in the mirror" experience that all women will be able to identify with. The play has something for everyone! And if you like to laugh along with the excitement and drama of reality TV, you will definitely love In Sheep's Clothing," said Kari.
Kari Taylor is an independent recording artist who released her single "Love Come Down" on her indie label Earforce One Records. Along with acting, Kari and will be releasing her second single this year.
In Sheep's Clothing, is the first of it's kind - a reality play about a 17-year-old girl named Syann, who embarks on a musical odyssey to search for stardom and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow; but finds that not everyone is what they appear to be and all that glitters, is not necessarily gold! And even though "In Sheep's Clothing" is a story full of laughter, music, dancing, and displays a whole lot of fun, it also takes a penetrating look at friendship, marriage, commitment and the folly of not honoring each and every one of these. The play is choreographed by new comer, Brandi Taylor, a talented dancer/choreographer and captain of KPA Dance Fusion Repertoire.
The play runs May 30-31, 2014. Location is at the Culver City Veterans Complex Theater, located at 4117 Overland Avenue, in Culver City, CA. Tickets are available for purchase at Brown Paper Tickets and at the In Sheep's Clothing website.

Amico; Dancers: Brandi Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, Felicia Kelley, Jasmine Ford, Jonathan Taylor, Arthur Crenshaw, and Chris Smith will also star in the project.
