New Perspective For Reproductive Rights Blog
Law Students for Reproductive Justice blog "Repo Repro" welcomes Heather Sager to its roster.
- (1888PressRelease) May 27, 2011 - Heather Sager, 2010 graduate of Indiana University's Maurer School of Law and LSRJ (Law Students for Reproductive Justice) alum has recently joined the LSRJ's "Repo Repro" blog.
Sager (a recipient of the IU Pro Bono Service Award, as well as the "Rookie Of The Year" IU Maurer Trial Team Award for 2010), is corresponding from India where she works with the Human Rights Legal Network (HRLN), provides a unique perspective from a country where reproductive rights are hard-won and maternal mortality rates are alarmingly high.
Originally placed with the HRLN through the LSRJ's "International Intern" program in Summer 2010, Sager returned to the organization for a research and litigation strategy position in April. It is from here that she provides "Repo Repro", and the reader, with accounts "both horrible and hopeful, of women's experiences throughout India".
