New 'Parkinson Radio Hour' Names Speakers/Topics Through November 16th
The new radio program attracts a listening audience of patients, family members and caretakers from Fort Lauderdale to Vero Beach.
- West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2013 - A new weekly program, the "Parkinson Radio Hour," which premiered October 5, 2013, " has announced scheduled speakers through November 16. Airing for a full hour on AM Talk-Radio 1230 WBZT on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., the program features hosts Jeff Dowd and Stu Perlin.
The "Parkinson Radio Hour" attracts a listening audience of patients, family members and caretakers from Fort Lauderdale to Vero Beach. Its intent is to reach Parkinson's disease patients with information and support that can enhance the patient's experience for living with the disease.
Upcoming speakers and topics include:
October 12 - Margaret Cole from Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center - Parkinson's disease and fatigue;
October 19 - Ed Gray from GIGERMD Movement Therapy Center - the importance of exercise and speech therapy for Parkinson's disease;
November 2 - Dr. Naomi Salins from St. Joseph Hospital and Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center - Parkinson's disease and depression;
November 16 - Dr. Zolton Mari from John Hopkins University, Asst. Professor and Director of the Movement Disorder Center - Slowing Parkinson's disease: the status of neuroprotective treatments.
Speakers and topics for November 9 have not yet been confirmed.
