New Northampton triathlon and running shop hits the ground running

The business dream of keen local athlete Gabrielle Deere has got off to a good 2012 at her recently opened Northampton triathlon and running shop - TriRunning. End Quote

(1888PressRelease) February 16, 2012 - The store based in Wellingborough Road covers two floors hosting clothing and footwear from the leading specialist running, triathlon and fitness brands and also stocks sports nutrition products, accessories and books.

Gabrielle left her job as a retail planner with New Look to set up the new business. This is the fulfilment of a personal ambition. She is a serious runner, coaching at Wootton Road Runners and is also a qualified aerobics instructor.

NatWest in Northampton has provided funding under the government's enterprise finance guarantee to help fund the lease on the shop and help in the set up and fit out of the store.

Gabrielle Deere, owner of TriRunning said: "I am so glad that we have finally opened the store and begun trading. The initial reaction has been really good. Triathlon continues to grow in popularity and running remains one of the best and the most popular ways of keeping fit, and I think there is a strong demand for a shop locally that caters to the needs of local athletes of all abilities."

"It is always risky to open something new but I think it has really paid off. We had better than expected sales as people look towards the new year and many new healthy living regimes. We are well placed in a vibrant town that is interested in health and sports, so I feel this is a great location for the shop.
