New Non-Profit Organization Fist To Cuffs Is Set To Tackle Clean Drinking Water Crisis After A Successful Launch In Los Angeles
Fist To Cuffs, a new non-profit, is set to take on the homeless and water infrastructure crisis by providing clean drinking water to those in need.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 03, 2019 - Fist To Cuffs, a southern California based non-profit organization, has begun a clean drinking water drive that will provide potable water to thousands of people on the streets, and those suffering in communities with poor water infrastructure.
The organization intends to start in Las Vegas, head west to San Diego, and up the west coast to Seattle, Washington. The entire campaign will cover six of the top ten ranked homeless communities in the United States, while making pit stops in some of the smaller agricultural and industrial communities suffering from poor water infrastructural issues along the way.
Patrick Gasper, a victim of Hurricane Katrina and Tropical Storm Harvey, and one of the founding members of Fist To Cuffs, says the reason why he felt that this was so important, "is because water is the most important resource needed when people are displaced by natural disasters, living on the streets, or in areas affected by agriculture and industrial run-off in their water-supply."
The goal is to get clean drinking water into the hands of up to 2,500 people, while documenting the entire journey, to spark more donations and bottled water to take this same effort across the country to help others.
Fist To Cuffs is enlisting the assistance of local schools, businesses, and individual donors to help with bottled water contributions, and donations through their website and fund raising portal.
