New Manager Begins at Fort Detrick Business Development Office

The FDBDO will realize significant value from Ms. Evans' longstanding relationships at Fort Detrick, the Fort Detrick Contracting Community, and her extensive contracting knowledge with the USA Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA).

Providing information and training, the FDBDO serves as a resource and organization, educating small and large business on how to do business with Fort Detrick. This office is a vital component of the community as it provides Fort Detrick with increased competition and helps promote USA Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) and Fort Detrick as Maryland's premier biomedical research technology growth center. Ms. Evans will be responsible for promoting the FDBDO and ensuring it maintains the central portal for the continuous flow of information between USAMRMC, Fort Detrick, and the business community.

Ms. Evans' more than 25 years of experience in acquisition for the Defense community will bring tremendous value through new relationships, ideas, and a fresh perspective to the office. She has wide-ranging associations in the Fort Detrick community, which stems from her years as Chief of the Customer Service Center (CSC) and Operations Service Center (OSC) for the USAMRAA.
