- Tulsa, OK (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2014 - Two local Muskogee historians have put together a tour guide, in a sense, of Muskogee's past by collecting over 200 vintage postcards in their new book. The authors, Roger Bell and Jerry Hoffman, have carefully collected postcards and researched Muskogee's history. Muskogee will publish as a part of Arcadia Publishing's Postcard History series on December 8.
The book, and the tour, opens with a postcard image of Muskogee's grand Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railroad depot. A first stop for many of Muskogee's 19th century visitors. Readers will get a glimpse into life during the Golden Age in Muskogee.
Bell and Hoffman selected one-of-a-kind postcard images to include, and many have not previously been published. In preparing for the book, the authors gathered stories about buildings and events. They have now published this information for the community to enjoy. In Muskogee, Bell and Hoffman take readers on a journey through the past with over 200 vintage postcards.
