New Isotype Control Antibodies Are Released By Creative Diagnostics
Creative Diagnostics today announced the introduction of new isotype control antibodies for the series of alphabet I, such as IgA, IgA Kappa, IgA Lambda, IgD, IgE, IgE kappa, IgG, IgG1, IgG1 Fc, IgG1 K, IgG1 kappa, IgG1 Lambda.
- (1888PressRelease) January 14, 2015 - Creative Diagnostics today announced the introduction of new isotype control antibodies for the series of alphabet I, such as IgA, IgA Kappa, IgA Lambda, IgD, IgE, IgE kappa, IgG, IgG1, IgG1 Fc, IgG1 K, IgG1 kappa, IgG1 Lambda.
With the new release, Creative Diagnostics would have the product database include alphabet F, I, P and T, such as typical F (ab') 2, F (ab) 2 IgG, F (ab') 2 IgG, Fab-A-FH, Fab-A-FSx2, Fab-FH, PGP9.5, TNFSF15 etc. that can be used in flow cytometry experiments or immunohistochemistry.
"Creative Diagnostics isotype control antibody used as negative controls by most researchers to help them differentiate non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal. The main application of those controls include used in flow cytometry or in immunohistochemistry". With years of experience and profound expertise, scientists at CD conclude, "It is well know that the right experiment assays will guide the results. The choice of an appropriate isotype control is vital for the success of experiments to significantly decrease non-specific background signal. For a primary antibody, the background staining is mainly caused by three factors and they are binding to Fc receptors on target cells; non-specific antibody interactions with cellular proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids, and cell autofluorescence. With the isotype of the primary antibody and the target cell type, either of them have impact on each of the three factors. Therefore isotype controls typically should match the species, the heavy and light chains and the subclass. If directly labeled primary antibodies are employed, it is better if the isotype control is also conjugated with the same label as the test antibody."
In addition to isotype controls, Creative Diagnostics also plans to expand its primary antibody database though its product line is already very comprehensive.
