The International Frozen Yogurt Association (IFYA) seeks to promote the quality and success of the growing frozen yogurt industry.
San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) July 29, 2013 - The world's only frozen yogurt association, the International Frozen Yogurt Association (IFYA) has launched. The mission of the IFYA is to promote the quality and success of the growing worldwide frozen yogurt industry. Frozen yogurt industry sales are estimated to have reached $2 billion worldwide.
The IFYA was designed to bring together frozen yogurt shop owners, including prospective owners, industry suppliers and frozen yogurt fans. The IFYA offers free membership to anyone interested in frozen yogurt.
The new association is led by founder Susan Linton, aka Fro-yo Girl, the well-known frozen yogurt blogger. Linton started her frozen yogurt blog, Fro-yo Girl Speaks, back in October 2008.
"While there are many restaurant and food associations, there is nothing out there that focuses on the growing frozen yogurt segment. The IFYA can strengthen the frozen yogurt industry by promoting increasing accessibility to useful information, recognizing frozen yogurt excellence through the Swirl of Honor program, and engaging frozen yogurt consumers. We want frozen yogurt store operators to be successful," Linton explained.
IFYA supports the frozen yogurt industry in the following ways:
• Serves as an unbiased source of support and information for current and prospective frozen yogurt store operators
• Sets standards to elevate the quality of frozen yogurt stores and recognizes those that meet Swirl of Honor standards
• Connects store operators and frozen yogurt suppliers
• Brings together store operators and frozen yogurt consumers
• Promotes frozen yogurt consumption and appreciation among consumers
• Fosters an international frozen yogurt community
The IFYA website, internationalfrozenyogurt.com, has features for frozen yogurt store operators, suppliers and fans. It offers a fun place to learn more about frozen yogurt, discuss frozen yogurt with other enthusiasts, find quality frozen yogurt shops across the world (Swirl of Honor recipients) and share tips and news. Frozen yogurt stores can receive recognition and gain credibility by receiving a Swirl of Honor awarded by the IFYA.
