New segment to feature specialists regarding the weight epidemic in the US.
(1888PressRelease) January 06, 2015 - A new episode of IN AMERICA, hosted by James Earl Jones, will focus on obesity throughout the nation. From the doctors and the procedures they use to the patients who are the face of the disease, "In America" will seek to educate viewers about all aspects of the obesity experience.
According to the Center for Disease Control, over thirty five percent of the adult population struggles with obesity. Losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is key to increasing the long term survival rate. Fortunately, many people are able to lose the weight with a lifestyle change and better eating habits.
For some, however, diet and exercise alone are not enough to get back to a normal weight. Physicians and researchers are developing and using new, cutting edge treatments for weight loss surgery that allow patients to lose up to fifty percent of their extra weight, granting them a second chance at life.
