New HomeKit App at CES 2016: PowerHouz is an Apple HomeKit Home Portal going beyond Home Automation
So far most Home Automation users' experiences have been frustrating; To control multiple accessories, users had to switch between numerous Apps and most brands would simply not work with each others.
- (1888PressRelease) January 20, 2016 - With HomeKit, Apple is finally providing a Home Automation standard for its 1 Billion iOS Devices sold since the launch of the iPhone in 2007.
However, Accessories Management is only part of the user's need. Security, Communication between residents and Service Providers are also important functions needing of integration.
PowerHouz a new Startup from Southern California, is positioning itself to fill this gap. It allows users to control all their HomeKit accessories from One App on their iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch setting itself by default a Home Portal. But it also elevates the home automation experience with a Security and Communication Module including House Residents, Neighbors, Service Providers and Emergency Services. A proximity detection feature even indicates when a Resident is arriving.
Alex Basso, VP of Marketing, explains: "To create PowerHouz we brought together the best talents. We set a new standard for usability while leveraging the amazing opportunity created by Apple with the HomeKit Standard. PowerHouz is bringing it all together in a simple and beautiful interface to create the best home automation experience",
All the App functions are available on the go, and accessible from one screen with collapsible panels for accessories, users, and settings. Furthermore, users can easily set up their HomeKit configuration from the App, which is shared with any other HomeKit App or Siri, so users will never have to re-enter their information.
