Chris Schultz and his wife Carol also found exactly what they were looking for in a new Bayberry townhome at Whispering Hills. "We never considered buying an existing home and renovating," said Chris Shultz. With a budget of $50,000 for upgrades, the couple was able to create their dream home. Schultz described the process of choosing design options as "simple, and very comfortable."

"The customized details Walters offers are what add value and personalize a new home," said Danielle Edreff, design consultant for Walters Homes. "It's a good idea to have a budget in advance for special features to make the process stress-free." They worked closely with Edreff at the Walters' Design Center, which showcases an array of options and upgrades. "She made some very good suggestions that we hadn't even thought about," Schultz added. In the basement, for example, the couple was considering installing tiles, but the cost was a drawback. "Danielle suggested laminate flooring, and it turned out really great. She also helped us with coordinating colors," said Schultz.

Finding a great place to live was a big selling point for the couple. "It's a very attractive area," said Schultz. There's lots to do in southern Ocean County where residents and visitors enjoy miles of beaches, camping, hiking, boating, and other recreational facilities. And, the area is within a two-hour drive of New York's Broadway, Philadelphia's Liberty Center, Atlantic City and Trenton, the state capitol.
