New York, NY (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2012 - Petit Poulet, a new French Bistro & Wine Bar from Kellari Hospitality Group, is set to open its doors in Herald Square on Monday, Oct. 1st. The restaurant, owned and operated by Stavros Aktipis, owner of award-winning Kellari Taverna, will be located in the Radisson Hotel adjacent to his other Herald Square restaurant, Martinique Café.

Petit Poulet will feature Executive Chef Kevin Carscadden's take on traditional French bistro style foods. Petit Poulet will offer full breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch menus, appealing to both travelers and locals who are sure to leave wanting more. Some examples of their customary French fare includes French Onion Soup, Beef Tartar, Escargot, various tartine dishes, and rotisserie Cornish hen. Likely to be one of their most popular items, the delicious rotisserie hen dish features organic, vegetarian fed Cornish Hens with a moutarde violette sauce and is served with their tasty garlic herbes frites.

"We named it Petit Poulet because our setting is a traditional bistro, charming and intimate." says Aktipis, "After visiting Paris, I felt Petit Poulet would be a nice refuge from the over commercialized Herald Square area". The location accommodates about seventy guests in a warm vintage atmosphere featuring wood walls, mosaic tile floors, and a classic tin ceiling. Petit Poulet's setting is further enhanced by a delightful open kitchen. Seating options include tables, booths, and bar seats. Additionally, for a few lucky diners, Petit Poulet offers special bar style seating in front of the kitchen, giving them a unique view of the talented chefs creating their meals from scratch.

To accompany the fine cuisine, Petit Poulet will offer an expansive wine list that almost exclusively features French wine. The wine list provides guests an extensive selection of full bottles, half bottles and wines by the glass, allowing patrons to pair a bottle with their meal or a glass with hors d'oeuvres at the bar.

Petit Poulet will be open Monday through Sunday from 7:00am to 11:00pm. Brunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am to 4:00pm
