- (1888PressRelease) August 01, 2010 - Taking over the role of executive chef at the Coral International Hotel - Al Khobar is Mohamed Bin Jamil Bin Hussain, a Tunisian by birth who has made Saudi Arabia his home since 1982.
During a 35-year career in the kitchens, Mohamed has specialised in hotel catering and he joins Coral International from the Mercure International at Khamis Mushayt, where he headed up the restaurant and catering division.
He started out learning his trade with a five-year stint as chef at La Zurangi restaurant in Tunis before joining the Hotel White Pigeon in the same city as head chef, and then moving overseas to broaden his experience.
Joining the InterContinental in Taif, Mohamed began his involvement with five-star hotel cuisine, gaining experience in the operations of restaurant, banqueting and room service, which he later capitalised on to continue his career with the group at the Dar Al Hijra InterContinental in Madinah.
His credentials also include spells at the Madina Palace and the Sheraton in Jeddah, as well as the Zam Zam Grand and Le Meridien Towers in Makkah, before he moved on to join Accor at the Mercure in Khamis Mushayt, close by the highest point in Saudi Arabia.
At the Coral International Hotel - Al Khobar, Mohamed will oversee operations at the Lobby Café Rumours Café and Al Nafoora restaurant, as well as supervise groups and event catering.
