- (1888PressRelease) June 15, 2011 - Vista, CA - Allan da Graca, KT International Solutions CEO said: "Our adoption of a cost effective, flexible new ERP system enhances our ability to provide the customized reporting, labeling and repair practices that our clients demand, while keeping our pricing within their budgets."
The new ERP system facilitates the needs of KTIS' client and is provided by JIS Netherlands . This software provides automation of the Swedish Jeeves Universal ERP 2.0 platform. During the selection process, KT considered many possible solutions including SAP and others. However, in today's business climate, staying within clients budgets and offering enhanced services at reduced cost is key to customer satisfaction and new business acquisition.
Live with logistics
The implementation is currently underway. The company is live with logistics, finance and vendor management, and plans in the third quarter of 2011 to have the repair module fully implemented.
Repair and Return
KT International Solutions is a specialist in repair, reverse logistics and product life cycle management to multinational clients who use or manufacture computer, storage and communications hardware solutions. The company was founded in 1980 as a repair department of Thijssen Field Service, later Kender Thijssen. In 2009, the Kender Thijssen companies were acquired and subsequently separated to operate independently under Detron IT & Telecom Group.
Global expansion supported
The new ERP system is part of a global expansion by KT International which included the hiring of Randy Henniger, as Businsess Development Manager for the US at the beginning of this year. Mr. Henniger is based in California and has responsibility for building global service partnerships with major US OEMs and Independent Service Organizations. Mr. Henniger said: "KT International Solutions is committed to global growth and this investment in the new ERP system demonstrates this commitment. Top tier OEMs demand the highest quality repair practices and reporting. This new ERP system allows us to quickly respond to our clients demands in a very cost effective manner."
The changing landscape of Global Service Logistics and Support
According to the Service Industry Association, the rising cost of transportation driven by escalating fuel costs has created a change in the service paradigm. No longer can products be shipped from a single central service hub to destinations worldwide. Rapid turn around time for in and out of warranty product support has become a key element of customer satisfaction. Most companies are establishing 'regional" service hubs around the globe in their key market regions and the major growth markets including APAC and EMEA.
KT International Solutions`continued investment in infrastructure and productivity tools are some of the reasons many major multinational firms have already chosen KTIS as their global partner for in and out of warranty logistics, depot repair and product life cycle extension solutions.
