New England Venture Network (NEVN) Announces HLM Venture Partners' Yumin Choi as Co-Chair
Yumin Choi, a Senior Associate at HLM Venture Partners, has been appointed co-chair of New England Venture Network (NEVN), the largest network of young venture capital professionals on the East Coast.
- Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2011 - New England Venture Network (NEVN), the largest network of young venture capital professionals on the East Coast, has announced that Yumin Choi, a Senior Associate at HLM Venture Partners, has been appointed the organization's co-chair. A member of NEVN's steering committee, Choi joins Rudina Seseri, a Principal at Fairhaven Capital, as co-chair of the 11-year-old organization. He replaces Geraldine Alias, a Principal at Volition Capital, who previously served as co-chair of NEVN and remains on the nonprofit organization's steering committee.
"Yumin embodies NEVN's mission. Through his active involvement at The Capital Network and his contributions as a member of NEVN's steering committee, Yumin brings a wealth of experience and local connections to NEVN and the community at large, particularly in the healthcare sector," said Seseri.

A graduate of Babson College, Choi currently works at HLM Venture Partners, a healthcare focused Venture Capital firm that specializes in medical technology, healthcare services, and healthcare information technology investments. He previously worked at Angel Healthcare Investors making early stage investments in healthcare startups. Choi was a financial consultant at a boutique investment firm called ZweigWhite where he worked on valuations and M&A services for the architecture, construction, and engineering industries. He was a co-founder and CEO of CY Digital. He is an adviser to several startups, involved in several angel groups around Boston, is a board observer of TYRX, and serves on the Board of Directors of The Capital Network.
