New Emergency Rooms Open in Georgetown and Murphy, Texas
New facilities from First Choice ER serve rapidly growing Texas communities.
- (1888PressRelease) November 13, 2010 - Dallas, TX First Choice Emergency Room, a leading operator of freestanding emergency rooms in the state of Texas, today announced the opening of new facilities in the cities of Georgetown and Murphy.
"We're excited about these new ER centers," says First Choice owner Jack Novak. "We feel they help meet the emergency medical needs of communities that have been under-served."
Located northeast of Dallas, the new Murphy ( http://www.fcer.com/ ) emergency room is the only ER in the fast-growing Murphy / Wylie area.
The new Georgetown facility caters to the growing communities north of Austin, including the area's large population of retirees. It is the closest emergency room to Sun City, the largest retirement community in the region.
"Most of my family lives in Georgetown," says Novak, "So I know it's a great community with a need for emergency medical services."
With the opening of these new facilities, First Choice ER now operates twelve emergency rooms across the state of Texas.
Freestanding emergency rooms are a relatively new concept, distinct from both traditional hospital emergency rooms and urgent care centers. The facilities operated by First Choice have physicians and nurses who are trained in emergency medicine. By placing these ER centers in suburban communities around major metro areas, residents may find these facilities are closer than a hospital emergency room.
The Murphy facility is located at 211 E FM 544, Suite 401. It is open seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The Georgetown facility is located at 3316 Williams Dr., Suite 150. It is open seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
