NASHVILLE (September 6, 2016) - A new digital conference is giving daydreamers around the world permission to keep dreaming. Called DreamFest Digital, the all-online conference is using the stories and best practices from established leaders and business owners to motivate and activate entrepreneurial leaders to take action to turn their dreams into reality.
Hosted by the Nashville-based boutique public relations and brand strategy firm, DENOR Brands & Public Relations, in partnership with the company's microbrand, LiveYourBrand, the summit, held Nov. 8-10, is specifically designed to give dreamers the tools to activate new realities that help change their lives, and ultimately, the world.
"DreamFest Digital is all about dreaming the dream and taking the steps to actually live the dream," said Ashley Northington, founder and director of both DENOR Brands & Public Relations and LiveYourBrand. "I can relate to the desire to accomplish big, audacious goals, yet at the same time, be unsure of how to do so. Through my work, I encounter scores of new entrepreneurs and leaders who have that same desire. DreamFest is the answer for those who have big dreams and are ready to do what it takes to reach them."
The inaugural conference will deliver keynote sessions via live video stream. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions of speakers via live question-and-answer sessions on Twitter. Each session will feature inspiring, action-oriented stories from entrepreneurs and leaders in different parts of the country. Attendees will walk away from each video session with actionable steps to accomplish their goals.
Nearly 20 leaders will present during the three-day virtual conference. From an urban inspirational singer who had hits that climbed gospel charts and would later reveal his faith healed him from a life-altering disease to the creative agency founder who struggled to make it through design school as she raised her young son amidst several others who doubted her future success, DreamFest attendees will hear the real stories of real people who dared to have big dreams and the courage to accomplish to them.
Attendees will hear from:
- A GRAMMY Award winning music producer who turned down traditional record label deals to build his own production company that has produced for many of music's biggest names including Rick Ross, Meek Mill, 2Chains, Yo Gotti, Lecrae, and more.
- A serial entrepreneur who made his first million dollars at the tender age of 29, later lost it all, got it back, and now spends his time building new ideas, supporting others to achieve great success, and advocating for improved educational opportunities for underserved youth, specifically Black boys.
- A first generation American who was once told by her elementary school teacher that she was 'stupid' and 'could not learn', who became an academic overachiever and an award-winning journalist, acclaimed mystery novelist, thoughtful writer, and beloved college professor.
"We are officially telling the dreamers and visionaries of the world NOT to quit their daydreaming," Northington said. "We know the most successful people spent a lot of time dreaming, but they spent even more time overcoming tremendous obstacles to put their monumental dreams into action."
DreamFest Digital will also donate portions of each ticket sale to nonprofit organizations that aim to enrich the lives of others. This year, DreamFest will benefit four organizations. These are: Purpose Preparatory Academy, an academically rigorous charter school in north Nashville; Boys Prep Catalyst, a foundation that starts public schools to nurture urban black boys to success in high school, college, and beyond; Boarding Pass Program, a program ran by ExPat Women of Color that takes high-school aged girls abroad to experience the academic, artistic, and career offerings in another country; and the Business Garden, a Nashville startup aimed at providing resources, support, and office space for female entrepreneurs.
"We are committed to serving our community and helping share stories that matter," Northington said. "These four organizations have remarkable stories and are driven by their unwavering commitment to helping others become their best - which is exactly what we hope to do with DreamFest."
The virtual conference will be accessible on mobile, tablet, and computer devices on November 8 - 10. To kickoff the conference, organizers will host two Twitter panel discussions on digital media and business on November 1 and November 3. Tickets to the conference cost $49 and can be purchased online at dreamfestdigital.com.
