New Development Partnership Announced for Canandaigua Finger Lakes Resort
Much-anticipated Canandaigua Resort under development.
- Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) October 01, 2015 - At a press conference Thursday afternoon, Canandaigua property owner, Dave Genecco announced a new development partnership that will ensure the completion of the much-anticipated Canandaigua Finger Lakes Resort development project.
Dave Christa, of Christa Construction, and Robert Morgan, of Morgan Management, have joined the ownership team and will assist in the planning, development and ongoing management of the waterfront resort.
"Christa and Morgan are a great fit for our ownership team," said Genecco. "They are both highly experienced and have a track record of success in the hospitality industry."
Christa and Morgan own several properties together, most notably, the Strathallan Hotel.
Additionally, Christa has developed and owns several hotels and mixed-use properties and Morgan is developing the North Shore Project, a mixed-use facility just across the street from the new resort.
"We look forward to continuing the development of the resort," said Christa. "It is going to offer residents and travelers alike an exceptional hotel, dining and leisure experience, right here on one of the most stunning waterfronts in the world."
The 4-star resort, which is slated to open in the fall of 2016, will feature 22 condos, 44 docking slips and a four-star hotel complete with 164 guest rooms, a 600-person ballroom for weddings and social events, a full-service spa, as well as a pool and other outdoor amenities.
Mayor Ellen Polimeni, RBA President and CEO, Robert Duffy, and other local and regional officials were in attendance.
