New dates announced for Informa's MEDLAB Asia Pacific exhibition
Asia-Pacific IVD market key focus for Singapore-based medical laboratory exhibition and congress.
- (1888PressRelease) May 09, 2013 - Dubai, UAE: Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions and Scherago International, organisers of the global MEDLAB Series, have announced the new dates for the Medlab Asia Pacific leg of the series as well as the much awaited conference topics for the medical laboratory event.
MEDLAB Asia Pacific is an innovative laboratory exhibition and congress will now take place from 18-21 February, 2014, at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. As strong growth in the Asia-Pacific region is driving the growth of the global IVD market, this meeting will provide an opportunity to learn about advances in science and their applications in laboratory medicine that will improve practice through improving patient outcomes in the region.
According to Simon Page, Managing Director, Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, "After much deliberation and open dialogue with our exhibitors, speakers and delegates, Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions and Scherago International have decided that the event will now take place in February, 2014.
"The previous dates, 3-5 September, 2013, had too many conflicts in an already very busy end-of-year calendar for speakers and associations. Informa is committed to the highest quality of speakers and educational content in our conferences. In order to fulfill this mission, and to guarantee that a maximum number of attendees can benefit from the accredited medical education that we offer, we feel that the decision to postpone the event is correct and will guarantee a successful event."
The MEDLAB Asia Pacific conferences will consist of six individual scientific conferences, which handpick the best medical talents and academics from around the globe to share the latest developments in the field of laboratory medicine. As a crucial component of healthcare, laboratory medicine provides all those involved in the healthcare system with information that can make the difference in the quality, safety and efficacy of care given to patients. Doctors across all specialties depend on laboratories' results to make critical decisions about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
