New Cruise Agency Opens With Fund-Raising Cruise
Group Cruises Unlimited, a cruise-only travel agency specializing in groups, began operations in the spring of 2010. They are members of Cruise Lines International Association. Their opening engagement is a fund-raising cruise for Marian Homes, Inc--a non-profit organization that buys and maintains group homes for the intellectually disabled in northern Virginia.

Group Cruises Unlimited designs and sells memorable group cruise vacations to families, clubs, non-profit organizations, and community groups nation-wide and locally in Northern Virginia. The cruise industry is the fastest growing segment of the travel industry - and consistently receives the highest satisfaction levels among vacationers. According to Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the official trade organization of the North American cruise industry, more than 90 million passengers have cruised in the past 10 years, and more than 13 million will cruise in 2010.

Group Cruises Unlimited is organizing a fund-raising cruise to Bermuda for the benefit of Marian Homes, Inc. -- non-profit organization whose sole mission is to own and maintain group homes in Virginia for persons with intellectual disability.
Marian Homes purchased their first home in the Brecon Ridge subdivision of Fairfax in 1998. The home is currently the residence to five women who live in a family environment as productive members of their community. With the resounding success of their first group home, and in recognition of the overwhelming need of this type of housing in Northern Virginia, Marian Homes purchased a second home in the Greenbriar subdivision of Fairfax. This home will be the residence four men who are expected to move to the residence in August 2010.
One-hundred percent of all funds raised by Marian Homes goes directly to group home support. Funds raised by this cruise sailing from Baltimore in April 2011 will contribute directly to the support of both group homes.
