It provides an "over-the-shoulder-view" of how a chess program is created. The site is run by Steve Maughan, a veteran of the computer chess scene. Steve has developed many two-player games including Connect4, Othello and Chess. The Chess Programming site aims to showing you the development process for Maverick, Steve's new engine. The objective is to create an aggressive engine which is super fast at spotting tactical shots.
