New book claims Brittany Murphy was MURDERED
A new Book by author Bryn Curt James Hammond reveals Brittany Murphy was MURDERED as it relives her final months and details her tragic last hours of Hollywood's one time IT Girl.
- (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2016 - "There was a lot of tension and I didn't know why, except that it was somehow connected to her (Brittany Murphy)."
"I didn't know Simon Monjack. He came along after Brittany and I parted ways. I was with Brittany for 15 years starting with Clueless. She was the most wonderful soul I have ever met."
"It's pretty clear that Brittany had a severe dependence on prescription drugs, dating at least back to the filming of 8 Mile."
"A number of heavy metals were found. Household pesticides are cited as a possible source, this seems plausible to me."
"He couldn't get it up with all the drugs and slobbering alcoholism."
Miami Fox Publishing is delighted to announce the release of the ultimate critical true crime biography of Brittany Murphy, A Case for Murder: Brittany Murphy Files. A Case for Murder explores and celebrates Brittany Murphy and the mark she left on popular culture. A Case for Murder doesn't pull its punches and reveals a life far from ordinary, uncovering a web of deceit, greed, immigration fraud, prescription drugs and lies which inevitably led to the murder of Hollywood's one time IT Girl Brittany Murphy. Along the way the author pulls back the curtain on young Hollywood, revealing first-hand experiences with one director's power trip and seedy Jacuzzi orgy, Andy Dick's bizarre gay bar display and much more!
Brittany Murphy was the millennium's sweetheart, and after a decade of playing sidekicks (Clueless) and outcasts (Girl, Interrupted), she reinvented herself, dying her hair blonde and losing a dramatic amount of weight. Her career soared as a leading lady with the smash hits Just Married, Uptown Girls and the $384.3 million box office blockbuster Happy Feet under her belt. Not content with the Meg Ryan-esque fare, the diminutive 5ft 3in actress broadened her appeal by branching out and starring in 8 Mile, The Dead Girl and Sin City. She also tackled the music industry, collaborating with one of the hottest DJs of his time, Paul Oakenfold (Faster Kill Pussycat), scoring a number one single on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play. But within months of taking a call from Simon Monjack while on the set of The Ramen Girl, and investing in his doomed project (The White Hotel) on the proviso she played the lead, her world crumbled!
Monjack, her film project director, was arrested for his expired visa. She rushed into a sham marriage to help him avoid deportation, committing immigration fraud in the process. She discovered she was being investigated by the FBI for her (alleged) new husband's wire fraud. She was dropped by her agent and publicist and her once glittering career took an almighty dip. She was also dropped from Disney's Tinker Bell, cut from Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables and fired for her behaviour on the set of The Caller. "She's extremely difficult. When she gets to the set it comes to a grinding halt. She's so hot and cold you never know."
By 2008 the film offers had dried up and the only roles she was getting were D-movies with laughable scripts and dubious production values, where Monjack would double as her personal hair/make-up artist. "Her make-up wasn't altogether flattering. The way her lipstick was applied. But I thought, hey she's the star; she must know what she's doing. It was only later that I found out that Simon was actually doing her make-up. That did strike me as odd!"
Deadline, MegaFault and Something Wicked were among her final completed projects before her untimely death on December 20th, 2009. Monjack died 5 months later on 23 May, 2010. Both died of a combination of pneumonia, anaemia and multiple-drug intoxication.
Brittany Murphy Files takes an explosive, controversial look at Murphy's life, her legal troubles, her severe dependence on prescription drugs, her and her mother's (Sharon Murphy) unusual relationship, her father's (Angelo Bertolotti) drug and gun-riddled past, and his association with UFO and 'conspiracy nut' Julia Davis, who terrorised and stalked actress Kimberley LaBelle (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure). "You have no idea what I went through. Honestly, no-one does. 2 miscarriages later from the stress and having my home bugged, being illegally video'd for a crazy documentary they were making, being accused of all sorts of crazy things -- if you do write anything about them, it's a good thing you are in the UK."
A Case for Murder: Brittany Murphy Files expands on Bertolotti's laboratory results and investigates why Brittany may have been the victim of filicide, murder for money or an 'angel of mercy' killing. "My feeling is that Sharon, seeing Brittany's declining health and career, may have felt a temptation to expedite her inheritance while there was still something left to inherit."
A Case for Murder: Brittany Murphy Files includes exclusive interviews with Murphy's relatives and co-workers, and with celebrities Thora Birch (American Beauty) and Brad Greenquist (Water for Elephants). This critical true crime biography puts all the elements of her career into perspective and celebrates her triumph followed by the dark demise that caused her and Monjack's untimely deaths. "Out of three people living together in the same house, only one survives and benefits financially. There are unanswered questions that have to be addressed!"
Also includes an 'EXPLOSIVE EXCLUSIVE' interview with Brittany Murphy's biological father, Angelo Bertolotti!
